Welcome to the Vocabulary Chess Game!

Before you begin, here are some simple instructions:

• Objective: Your goal is to navigate the chessboard and “kill” the level king by answering vocabulary questions correctly. Each correct answer will move you closer to the king!
• How to Play:
  • Choose a word function (Noun, Verb, Adjective, or Adverb) at the start.
  • A definition will appear based on your word function. Guess the correct word that matches the definition.
  • If you’re correct, your piece will move in the specified direction:
    • Nouns: Move forward.
    • Verbs: Move to the left.
    • Adjectives: Move to the right.
    • Adverbs: Move backward.
• Scoring: Every correct answer earns you 1 point!
• Time Limit: You have 20 seconds to answer each question. Once the time is up, the game will move automatically to the next question.
• Win the Game: Keep answering correctly to move closer to the king. Once you land on the king’s square, you win the game!
